Responsible Gaming

Every page on this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations, and none of the tools that actually manage gambling behaviour live here. This page sets out what those links are, what general habits reduce harm, and what this site can and cannot do for a reader who wants to stop or slow down.

Getting help: independent contacts

Three independent gambling-help organisations are linked from every page of this build, this one included: gambleaware.nsw.gov.au, gamblinghelponline.org.au and responsiblegambling.vic.gov.au. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.

Habits that make a practical difference

Deciding the amount before starting matters because a figure fixed in advance is far easier to hold to than one adjusted in the moment. Treating that amount as already spent, rather than as money still in play, removes the temptation to see a loss as a gap that needs closing. Chasing a loss is the point where a fixed budget usually breaks down, so it is worth naming in advance as something to avoid. Keeping gambling out of borrowed money means a loss stays a loss, instead of becoming a debt on top of one. Taking breaks during a session interrupts the momentum that makes stopping feel harder the longer play continues. Involving someone else early, while it is still entertainment rather than a problem, is easier for both sides than raising it once money or trust has already been damaged.

This site repeats an eighteen-and-over restriction throughout the build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. Each of the ten operator listings also closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, since eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice.

What this site cannot do: account controls

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check whether one is active, or enforce one. Anything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any check of that kind happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. A reader who wants deposit limits, loss limits, reality checks, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion needs to set them up inside an account at the operator's own site, where those controls actually live.
